Vaccinium floribundum (Andean Blueberry)


Native to Argentina Northwest, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Panamá and nearby regions, this is a shrub in the Ericaceae family. This Andean shrub grows at elevations of roughly 5,000 to 14,000 feet. It produces small pink flowers followed by edible dark berries. Photographed in Colombia.
