Uncarina sakalava

Native to Madagascar, Uncarina sakalava is a succulent shrub or small tree with a thickened water-storing trunk and broad softly hairy leaves. Yellow trumpet-shaped flowers open with five rounded lobes and a deeper golden throat. The woody fruits develop strong hooked projections that attach to animals and aid seed dispersal.
