The Black-billed Thrush primarily feeds on terrestrial invertebrates, such as beetles, flies, worms, crickets, and caterpillars, but it also consumes berries and fruits. This bird typically inhabits the midstory of vegetation and exhibits solitary behavior. Reproductive habits include laying two eggs in a cup-shaped nest​​.
