Triplaris cumingiana

Native to Colombia, Ecuador, Panamá, Peru, Trinidad-Tobago, and Venezuela, it is a tree in the Polygonaceae family. Documented elevations extend from about 980 to 3,300 feet. It develops a woody trunk and leafy crown, with flowers borne on its branches. Photographed in Colombia.
