Trimezia northiana

This plant is a perennial herb native to southeastern and southern Brazil, from Espírito Santo to Paraná. Its flat, sword-shaped leaves grow in fans. The flowers have three broad white outer segments and three smaller, curled inner segments with blue-purple and brown markings. Flowering stems can arch toward the ground, where plantlets at their tips take root, giving it the name walking iris. Photographed in the department of Quindío, Colombia.
