Trihesperus glaucus


Native to the high Andes of Ecuador and Peru, Trihesperus glaucus is a slender perennial herb of open páramo and rocky alpine vegetation. Narrow basal leaves give rise to tall wiry flowering stems. Small white star-shaped flowers open at widely spaced intervals along the upper portion of each stem. Photographed in Peru.
