Tradescantia zebrina

Native from Mexico through Central America, Tradescantia zebrina is a creeping perennial herb with succulent stems that root at the nodes. Pointed leaves display broad silver-green bands bordered by purple, and their undersides are usually deep violet. Small flowers have three bright pink-purple petals surrounding pale stamens.
