Tithonia diversifolia (Mexican Sunflower)

Native to Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and central Mexico and nearby regions, this is a shrub in the Asteraceae family. Naturalized throughout much of Colombia with a habitat below 6,600 feet. Photographed in the central Andes mountain range of Colombia.
