Tillandsia tovarensis


Native to Venezuela and western South America, Tillandsia tovarensis is an epiphytic bromeliad recorded in Colombia’s Andes and Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta from 5,250 to 12,140 feet. It grows attached to other plants rather than rooted in soil and is associated with wet tropical habitats. The species is assessed as Least Concern in Colombia. Photographed in Colombia.
