Tillandsia stricta

Native to eastern and southern South America, Tillandsia stricta is an epiphytic bromeliad that forms compact rosettes on tree branches and exposed supports. Narrow gray-green leaves surround a short flowering stem. Bright pink overlapping bracts create a flattened spike, and small violet or blue tubular flowers emerge between them.
