Thysanolaena latifolia

Native across tropical and subtropical Asia, Thysanolaena latifolia is a large clump-forming perennial grass of humid slopes and forest margins. Tall solid stems carry broad leaves and terminate in open, finely branched panicles that become pale tan as they mature. The flexible flower heads are traditionally gathered for making brooms.
