Thibaudia martiniana

Native to the northern Andes, Thibaudia martiniana is a woody shrub or small tree of humid montane forest. Pendent clusters carry numerous tubular flowers with red-pink bases and contrasting white tips. The blossoms hang beneath broad leaves on long reddish stalks, forming dense terminal groups along the branches. Photographed in Colombia.
