Thalictrum podocarpum airy branching sprays of small pink-purple flowers above delicate compound leaves

Thalictrum podocarpum

Native to the high Andes of northwestern South America, Thalictrum podocarpum is a perennial herb of moist mountain vegetation and forest margins. Airy branching inflorescences carry many small pink-purple flowers dominated by numerous projecting stamens rather than showy petals. Compound leaves form delicate rounded leaflets below the flowering stems. Photographed in Ecuador.
