Talinum fruticosum

Native to tropical America, Talinum fruticosum is a fleshy perennial herb that grows in open ground, forest edges, and disturbed habitats. Slender branching stalks carry small pink flowers with five petals and yellow stamens. Its succulent stems and leaves are edible and are cultivated as a leafy vegetable in several tropical regions.
