Tagetes zypaquirensis

A herb indigenous to Latin America with a habitat between 8,000 and 12,000 feet. This marigold grows to about 40 inches tall and produces numerous yellow flower heads in flat-topped arrays, each consisting of ray florets surrounding disc florets. The Zypaquirá Marigold is known for its essential oils. Photographed in Bogotá, Colombia.
