Tagetes minuta
Originates from the southern half of South America. It has been introduced globally since Spanish colonization, establishing itself across continents. It is adorned with small white flowers and has been consumed in various forms with the leaves serving as seasoning, Notably, an extraction of the plant, termed "Marigold oil," finds application in the perfume, tobacco, and soft drink industries.
