Tacca palmatifida green flower cluster with numerous very long threadlike bracteoles hanging below

Tacca palmatifida

Native to Sulawesi, Tacca palmatifida is a rhizomatous tropical herb of humid forest habitat. An upright inflorescence carries greenish flowers and numerous exceptionally long, threadlike bracteoles that cascade below the cluster. Its deeply divided, palm-shaped leaves clearly distinguish the species from many other members of the genus. Photographed in Florida.
