Tacca integrifolia

Native from the eastern Himalayas through Southeast Asia, Tacca integrifolia is a rhizomatous herb of humid tropical forests. Two broad white bracts marked with purple veins rise above a cluster of dark purple flowers and many long hanging bracteoles. Large glossy leaves emerge directly from the underground rhizome.
