Tabernaemontana catharinensis

Native to tropical and subtropical South America, Tabernaemontana catharinensis is a shrub or small tree of forests, woodland edges, and open vegetation. Clusters of white flowers have a narrow tube and five pinwheel-like lobes. The glossy opposite leaves contain milky latex, and paired follicles develop after flowering. Photographed in Colombia.
