Syzygium jambos (Rose Apple)

A fruit tree native to Southeast Asia, it has established itself in various regions worldwide as both an ornamental and a fruit-bearing tree. The fruit often containing one or two large seeds within a slightly fluffy cavity when ripe. The aroma of the ripe fruit is notably strong and floral, aligning with its name which reflects its sweet, rose-like scent. Photographed in Bogotá, Colombia.
