Streptosolen jamesonii (Marmalade Bush)
Originating from the open woodlands of Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, and Peru, it has become an addition to gardens for its striking blooms that transition in color from yellow to red. Celebrated for its year-round blooming potential, it boasts loose clusters of trumpet-shaped blooms that producing a copious amount of nectar. This species has earned the prestigious Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society. Photographed in the eastern and central Andes mountain range of Colombia (Cordillera Oriental).
