Steiractinia helianthoides

Native to Colombia, this is a shrub in the Asteraceae family. One of twelve native Colombian species of the genus Steiractinia with a habitat between 4,000 and 9,000 feet. Photographed in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia.
