Spathoglottis × parsonsii

A cultivated terrestrial orchid hybrid, Spathoglottis × parsonsii grows from clustered pseudobulbs with long prominently pleated green leaves. Upright green flower stalks hold several showy blossoms above the basal foliage. The flowers combine broad spreading segments with a smaller sculptured lip, displaying warm yellow and reddish markings. Photographed in Florida.
