Spathoglottis plicata (Philippine Ground Orchid)

A terrestrial orchid that forms tall clumps of crowded pseudobulbs. Native to tropical and subtropical Asia through to Australia and the western Pacific. Cultivated for its bright purple flowers cultivars have now expand the color range. Photographed in Colombia and Florida.
