Solanum glutinosum

A shrub native to the Andes, Solanum glutinosum grows in humid mountain vegetation and forest margins. Its branching flower clusters carry pale violet star-shaped corollas with five pointed lobes surrounding yellow anthers. Glandular hairs cover the young stems, calyces, and broad leaves, giving the plant a sticky texture. Photographed in Colombia.
