Solanum aethiopicum Turkish Orange clusters of rounded ribbed bright red fruits among broad leaves

Solanum aethiopicum 'Turkish Orange'

A cultivated form of the African eggplant species Solanum aethiopicum, ‘Turkish Orange’ grows as a branching herb or short-lived subshrub. Small star-shaped flowers develop into rounded deeply ribbed fruits that mature from green through orange to bright red. Broad leaves and clustered fruits give the plant a robust appearance. Photographed in Florida.
