Sobralia ecuadorana

A terrestrial orchid native to Ecuador, Sobralia ecuadorana grows in humid Andean forests and mountain clearings. Its large pale flower has broad white to pink-tinged segments and a frilled lip marked with purple around a yellow throat. Pleated leaves grow along tall cane-like stems below the blossoms.
