Smallanthus riparius

A tall perennial herb native from Mexico through tropical South America, Smallanthus riparius grows along streams, forest edges, and other moist sites. Branching clusters carry yellow daisy-like flower heads with broad ray florets around dense central disk florets. Large opposite leaves have toothed margins and prominent veins.
