Sisymbrium irio tiny yellow flowers surrounded by long narrow radiating seed pods

Sisymbrium irio

An annual herb native from the Mediterranean region through western Asia, Sisymbrium irio now occurs widely in disturbed ground and urban habitats. Small yellow four-petaled flowers develop above deeply divided leaves, followed by numerous long narrow seed pods that radiate outward prominently from the central upright stem. Photographed in Colombia.
