Siphocampylus lucidus


An Andean shrub native to Ecuador, Siphocampylus lucidus grows in humid mountain forests and shrubby vegetation. Its pendent yellow flowers have long curved tubes that divide into narrow lobes, with a white hairy staminal column extending from the opening. Dark calyx lobes frame the base of each flower. Photographed in Colombia.
