Siphocampylus krauseanus


A shrub native to the Peruvian Andes, Siphocampylus krauseanus grows in humid mountain vegetation. Its orange flowers form elongated curved tubes that divide into narrow lobes, with the style and staminal structures extending beyond the opening. The flowers arise singly from leafy stems covered with fine hairs. Photographed in Colombia.
