An upright perennial herb or subshrub native across tropical regions, Sida cordifolia grows in open ground, roadsides, and disturbed habitats. Its pale yellow flowers have five broad petals surrounding a central staminal column. Heart-shaped to oblong leaves have toothed margins and a soft covering of fine hairs. Photographed in Colombia.
