Serjania cornigera

A woody climbing plant in the soapberry family, this tropical American species uses tendrils to ascend surrounding vegetation. Compound leaves occur along flexible stems, and finely branched flower clusters carry many small pale blossoms. The fruits are dry and three-winged, with the seed-bearing portions grouped around a central axis. The species is native from Mexico through parts of Central America. Photographed in Florida.
