Senna versicolor


A shrub or small tree native to the Andes of Peru, this species forms a dense crown of pinnate foliage and abundant yellow flower clusters. The compound leaves consist of paired leaflets, while each blossom has five unequal petals surrounding curved stamens. Dark elongated pods develop among the leaves after flowering.
