Senna spectabilis

A tropical American tree with a broad spreading crown, this species has long pinnate leaves and showy clusters of yellow flowers. Individual blossoms have five unequal petals and a group of curved fertile stamens at the center. Long cylindrical pods hang from the branches as they mature.
