Senecio formosoides

A perennial herb native to the northern Andes, Senecio formosoides grows in high-elevation grasslands and páramo vegetation. Its flower heads have vivid pink-purple ray florets surrounding a dense yellow disk, while woolly buds and stems rise from a basal cluster of leaves. Several heads may develop on one branching stalk.
