Schistocarpha sinforosii


Schistocarpha sinforosii is a South American shrub or climbing plant in the sunflower family. Broad ovate leaves have serrated margins, while widely branched inflorescences carry many small flower heads. Each head contains white ray florets surrounding numerous disk florets and is enclosed by several rows of narrow bracts. Documented collections are known from Colombia and northern Peru. Photographed in Florida.
