Scaevola taccada
Scaevola taccada is a dense coastal shrub native across tropical shores of the Indian and Pacific oceans. Thick glossy leaves crowd the branch tips, and white flowers have a distinctive fan-shaped corolla with all five lobes arranged to one side. Fleshy white fruits can float and disperse in seawater. Research-grade observations document the species in Colombia, Panama, and Peru. Photographed in Colombia.
