Salvia verbenaca

Salvia verbenaca is a perennial herb native to the Mediterranean region, western Europe, and nearby areas. A basal rosette of wrinkled leaves sends up branched stems with spaced whorls of violet-blue two-lipped flowers. The persistent calyces become more conspicuous as seeds mature.
