Salvia uliginosa

Salvia uliginosa is a tall rhizomatous perennial native to southern Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina. Slender branching stems bear narrow leaves and clear sky-blue two-lipped flowers with small white markings near the throat. The plant spreads through underground stems and can form broad colonies. Its natural habitats include marshy grassland, stream margins, and other seasonally wet open ground. Photographed in Florida.
