Salvia greggii
This plant is a small woody shrub native to Texas and northeastern Mexico. Many slender branches carry small aromatic leaves and paired two-lipped flowers that range from red to pink. The lower corolla lip spreads broadly beneath a narrower hooded upper lip. Flowers are borne in terminal racemes. Photographed in Colombia.
