Salvia glutinosa

Salvia glutinosa is a tall perennial herb native from Europe eastward into western Asia. Branched stems bear broad heart-shaped leaves and spaced whorls of pale yellow two-lipped flowers marked with brown. Glandular hairs cover much of the upper plant and create a sticky surface. It occurs naturally in woodland openings, shaded banks, and montane forest margins. Photographed in Florida.
