Salvia cacaliifolia

A perennial sage native to Mexico and Guatemala, Salvia cacaliifolia grows as a branching herb or subshrub in mountain forests and open slopes. Its intense blue flowers have elongated two-lipped corollas and project from small green calyces along slender stems. Broad triangular leaves occur opposite one another below the flowers.
