Ruellia terminalis


A perennial herb native to tropical South America, Ruellia terminalis grows in humid forests and mountain habitats. Pale lavender funnel-shaped flowers open above dark green leaves and have five irregularly rounded lobes marked by faint violet lines. Fine hairs cover the flower tube, calyx, and nearby stems.
