Rosa (Yellow Roses) (species unidentified)

These plants are cultivated perennial shrubs. Garden varieties result from selection and hybridization, rather than forming a single wild species. Their stems are usually armed with prickles, and their compound leaves bear toothed leaflets. Flowers occur singly or in clusters, with petal number varying between single and double forms. Fertile flowers may develop fleshy hips containing numerous small dry fruits. Photographed in Colombia.
