Hybrid tea rose

These cultivated shrubs in the genus Rosa originated from crosses between Tea roses and Hybrid Perpetual roses. They typically have an upright, vase-shaped habit and large, pointed flower buds. Their double flowers grow singly or in small clusters on long stems and occur in many colors. Many cultivars flower repeatedly and have fragrant blooms. Their long stems and large blooms make them important cut flowers. Photographed in Florida.
