Rhyncholaeliocattleya Verdant Venture

Rhyncholaeliocattleya Verdant Venture is a cultivated intergeneric orchid hybrid developed for large pale flowers. Cream to faint pink sepals and petals surround a ruffled white lip with yellow-green markings near the throat. Thick leaves rise from water-storing pseudobulbs. Its broad floral segments and elaborate lip reflect ancestry within the cattleya alliance, while the pseudobulbs support one or more leathery leaves. Photographed in Florida.
