Racinaea fraseri
Racinaea fraseri is an epiphytic bromeliad native to the Andes of Colombia and Ecuador. A rosette of long arching leaves produces a tall, freely branched inflorescence. Slender red branches carry numerous small flowers and developing seed capsules, creating a broad airy display above the foliage. The species grows in humid montane forest. Research-grade observations document it in Colombia and Ecuador. Photographed in Colombia.
