Quiabentia zehntneri is a succulent shrub in the Cactaceae family, native to the Brazilian states of Bahia and Minas Gerais. A central trunk supports numerous fleshy, cylindrical branches, often arranged in whorls. The stiff, fleshy leaves are oval to nearly round with pointed tips. Large areoles contain short white wool and numerous slender white spines. Flowers develop at the branch tips, with broad petals notched at their ends. It occurs in seasonally dry vegetation, including limestone outcrops. Photographed in Florida.
