Pulchroboletus rubricitrinus

Pulchroboletus rubricitrinus is a bolete fungus found in eastern North America and parts of the Caribbean. Its cap begins reddish to purplish and may fade toward brown, while the pore surface below is yellow. The thick stem is yellow with reddish tones near the base. It grows on the ground in association with tree roots and produces spores through pores rather than gills. Photographed in Florida.
